Email Blasts Tricky for Trailer Hitches

Email Blasts Tricky for Trailer Hitches

Last week we prepared to do an email blast about our new gooseneck hitches to our dealers.  As we often do, we sent a sample within the building and it was tagged as SPAM.

We asked our email service provider if they could give us help figuring out why it bounced.  Could it have been the word ‘important’ in the subject line?

Here was their response: "The spam score for this campaign is very small, at 0.1. It should get through most filters, though there are some words in the campaign -- mounting, stiffness, balls, hole, angle, o-ring -- that may cause pause."

Lol.  We should be used to it by now.
