Biker Bar™

Product details:

Take your bike, ditch the straps

Biker Bar is a totally unique concept and a complete departure from the cumbersome straps, chocks and bolt-on systems that can be ineffective, unsightly and cause damage to paint, chrome and leather finishes.

  • Load and unload your Harley Davidson in less than a minute by yourself. No assistance needed.
  • Drive over steep, pitched terrain with your bike securely latched.
  • Adjustable clamping bar with neoprene lined clamps prevents scratches. Always remove clamping bar when not trailering.
  • Your motorcycle's suspension is not stressed. When the rider dismounts, the bike's suspension system remains slightly compressed, exerting just the right amount of upward pressure to maintain rigid stability without stressing the suspension components. A bike secured with a Biker Bar becomes an extension of the trailer’s suspension system, instead of amplifying it as an active bike suspension system would. Let your trailer suspension do the work.
  • Latching system easily unbolts from the trailer without crawling underneath, freeing up your trailer for other things.
  • Can be mounted in your garage for safely storing your bike.
  • Works with all Harley Davidson motorcycles with factory painted frames.
  • Six 1/4" increments of vertical adjustment to accomodate different motorcycle models.

No. The clamping bar is ALWAYS removed when you arrive at your destination and are ready to ride.

Yes. You can clamp the bar while the cycle is on the kickstand and most riders can sit on their cycle to load and unload.

Yes. It can be removed without crawling underneath the trailer by simply removing the 2 bolts on the top side of the floor. The anchor plates will stay secure under the floor once you have secured them with 2 carriage bolts at the time of installation. All that is visible on the top side of your trailer floor are the head of the carriage bolts and a 5/8” hole in your floor.

Yes, it works on all Harley Davison motorcycles.

Approximately 1 hour. Some toy haulers make take longer, depending on what is underneath the floor. If you do not feel that you can install it yourself, any trailer dealership or repair shop should be able to when provided with the instructions which are enclosed with every unit purchased.

Normally, any ¾” plywood floor is strong enough. If after installation is complete and your motorcycle is loaded in the unit, you pull on the side of the cycle and it moves side to side, your floor is flexing and too weak. You must re-enforce the floor. All pick up floors need to be re-enforced before installation as the metal is too thin for the stress in such a small area.

No, you do not need a wheel chock unless you are worried about the handlebars hitting something in transit. The handlebars will not flop back and forth but they may move to one side and stay there. You can turn them and lock the forks if you want to make sure they stay in one position.

It does not fit all metric motorcycles. It does fit some models. You must have 2 ½” on the side of the frame without anything below the frame in the area that the bar attaches. You must be able to raise the kickstand after the clamping bar is on the frame.

DYNA MODELS: The clamp is placed on the forward part of the frame so it does not interfere when the kickstand is raised.

SOFTAIL MODELS: The clamp is placed at the rear of the frame so it does not interfere when the kickstand is raised. The brake line will have to be moved slightly to place the clamp.

FLH & FLT MODELS: The clamp is placed to the back of the center of the frame. To secure, pick up the kickstand with your hand and place it on top of the clamping bar.

V-ROD MODELS: The clamp is placed at the rear of the frame over the allen screw which bolt the frame together. You can then raise the kickstand.

CUSTOM MOTORCYCLES: It will fit most custom cycles with up to 1 1/2” frame tubes and 10” - 14 1/2” wide. If a frame tube is too low for base height, a piece of wood can be mounted to the trailer floor to raise the rear wheel of the cycle to proper height.

Yes, the mounting plates that hold the Biker Bar latching base in place can be purchased separatly.

Different bike style frames will need a biker bar tailored to that specific frame. Refer to the Biker Bar Application Chart on the B&W website to match the appropriate bar to your bike. The Biker Bar base is universal and can be used with all Biker Bars.

The Biker Bar will work with all stock Harley Davidson motrocycles with factory painted frames. If you have a different brand of motorcycle and want to find out if the Biker Bar will fit, please refer to the attached photos and information. A full page PDF file is also available in the Biker Bar Instructions tab.

Awesome Product!

Amazing, well built product. Loaded the bikes in our toy hauler for our first camping trip. This was a 2.5 hour trial run before our big trip to Arkansas this summer. Got to campsite and the bikes never moved an inch. No straps involved. Still in awe!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
What an awesome product.

I recently bought 3 of these Biker Bars for a trip I was taking to NC,Ga & Tn. They were so easy to install and it allowed me to put 2 full dressers and a soft tail in my enclosed trailer. No straps or other tie downs. The bikes never moved an inch in over 1000 miles over some rough roads. These things are awesome and I recommend them highly. The staff was very friendly and shipping was fast. American pride at it's best. Thank you.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Can't have too many
Review by Dean Johnson From Nolanville, Texas
Posted on 05/27/2016

When I first saw the Biker Bar, I knew I had to have one. I bought one for my '14 FLST and installed very easily in our trailer. Then I needed to get one for my wife's '14 XL1200T. But then I also bought another set of under trailer anchors . So, now I can easily carry one bike. In less than 5 minutes I can have the trailer configured for two bikes. I ended up getting just the bar for a touring when a friends bike broke down and we hauled it home for him. Luckily, the Sportster bar fit, but decided I need the touring bar, just in case. Now all I need is another kit, and I'll be able to haul all three of our bikes. The latest to the family is a '67 XLCH. There is no better way to haul a bike around. Period.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I saw these guys in Sturgis during the rally. What caught my eye was how fast and easy it was to use. This is the best product I have purchased for holding my bikes safe and secure. No more tripping over the maze of straps to hold bikes in place and potential rubbing or scratches. No pressure on the suspension at all. They even hold baggers nice and firm. No worries at all. Install is easy and straight forward. Don't waste your money on anything else. You will be happy with this product!!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Great Product
Review by Brian Gregory From Lindenhurst, New York

Bought two of these, one for a 2011 Road King and the other for 2005 Heritage. Once they were mounted, took less than two minutes to load the bikes. Took a trip from Long Island to northwestern VA, then down to NC, a couple of thousand miles of beat up and winding roads. Part of my trip was on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, which is like driving on the moon without the smooth spots. Got into NJ and pulled over at the first stop to check the bikes. I swear the trailer left the ground a dozen times while I hit hundreds of potholes, but the bikes stayed in place like the were welded to the floor. Same thing on the way back, bump after bump, had to check as soon as I could. Again, no movement at all. At the end of the trip, two minutes to unload. I can't say enough about the biker bar. Been travelling with straps for 20 years, never again! Added a $13 chock for each bike to keep the front wheels in place.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

biker bar review 1

I met Joe Jefferis selling these at Bike Week in Myrtle Beach. I bought two of them, one for my Street Glide and one for my girl's Heritage Deluxe.  We installed them and it took 10 minutes to load both bikes alone, where it used to take about 1 hr to strap them down.  And we gained more space in the trailer without having to use straps.  We left Myrtle Beach on the 21st and I drove over 900 miles back to Cape Cod and the bikes never moved.  It's a great product and big thank you to Joe for installing these.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best thing ever for making sure your bike is secured. Owned my Biker Bar for 3 years now and absolutely love it.  Within 2 minutes, my bike is loaded and I have no worries about if it will be ok. Finally got to see the guys from Biker Bar (B&W) with a display set up at Myrtle bike week and they were awesome to talk to.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
The only way to trailer your bike
Review by Vincent Thouin From Ogdensburg, New York
Posted on 04/21/2016

I have used this product since early 2014 and trailered my bike from Upstate New York to Florida a number of times and the bike has not moved. It took a while to not check the bike at every stop to look to see if it moved at all. On April of 2016 my trailer fell off the truck's ball hitch at speed on I-95 in South Carolina and after I stopped I check the my CVO Street Glide and the Biker Bar kept it in place with no problem. Like I said, the only way to trailer your bike is by using the Biker Bar. Everywhere I go I show off the Biker Bar to everyone with a trailer. I'm not a salesman for B&W, but I sound like one when I show off this Biker Bar.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best thing we ever bought for the bike! I plan on buying another one for my bike. Easy to use and install. Love it

I have sold these to numerous customers who have gone on and on about the ease and reliability, so I bought one and transfer it between my two trailers and love it to death. No more straps. Well built and you cannot beat the warranty.

The Biker Bar was great just put it on the bike and didn't have to keep checking to make sure the bike hadn't fallen down, checked the bike twice and it didn't move.

The company is only as good as their service/warranty!!! Buy this product!
Review by John C. From Clairton, Pennsylvania

Trailer 3 touring bike to Sturgis this year for 75th anniversary, total 4800 miles with NO problems. Had an minor issue upon return with the neoprene clamp liner and the company backed their product 100%. The company is only as good as their service/warranty.I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone. As a matter of fact at one of stops we ran into several people readjusting their hold down straps and one person whose straps loosen and the bike fell over said after seeing our Biker Bars said they were going to buy them. Heard that from everyone who saw our set up!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
THIS PRODUCT IS AMERICAN INGENUITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP AT ITS FINEST!!!
Review by Kevin Mattingly From Hobbs New Mexico
Posted on 05/27/2015
I cant say enough about this fine American made product.
We just returned from a 1200 mile trip with this product mounted in our 42' toy hauler. We were in the mountains of New Mexico with elevations of 5500' to 9500', up, down, twisting and turning and my FLHXS didn't move an inch! We have used straps in the past with some often less than acceptable results. This product gave me complete peace of mind when trailering.
The product is worth TWICE the price.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Fits 2010 Vulcan Voyager
Review by Dan Rugulo From Middleburg, FL
Posted on 05/14/2015
Product works extremely well. No more sweating when going over bumps in the road. No more stopping to tighten tie down straps. I have a 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager and was able to make it work for my ride by raising the base 1-1/8 inches off the trailer floor with wood between the floor and base,
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Load and go in seconds!
Review by Tim Humphrey From Parkersburg , WV
Posted on 04/27/2015
Quickest, most reliable bike docking station ever! Once locked in...the bike becomes part of the trailer floor. It's that solid. Doesn't compress the bike suspension like straps do. Literally have the bike loaded ready for transport in 3 minutes or less.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Well Made and Works Great!
Review by Richard Corkran From Littleton, NC

The Biker Bar is stupid-simple and really well made. It was easy to install thanks to the excellent, easy to understand instructions. I had my Switchback attached to my trailer in less than an hour. I really like the fact that it’s made in the USA. The Biker Bar made getting my Harley on and off of my trailer a one person job.
Thanks for a great product!
Worth the cost!

I will be ordering a second Biker Bar and my buds are planning on equipping their trailers as well!
Review by Fred Kilby From Surrey British Columbia

This is a good solid, no worries way to haul your bike. I have used straps in the past , they can be difficult to attach when the bike is up against the wall of the trailer and have loosened causing damage. I've traveled hundreds of miles with no trouble what so ever.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Great Product
Review by Dan W. From Grand Prairie, Texas

I have to admit that never knowing anyone that had one of these and trusting this gadget to hold my Ultra Classic Harley took some research. I did buy one finally still not completely convinced but after installing it and using it I liked it so much I bought another one. Absolutely the most solid mount and best investment you can make to haul your Harley without worry. It works as easy as the demo video illustrates and the bike goes nowhere after it latches. I love mine.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

The heck with straps-Go to the bar
Review by Joe From Mount Royal, NJ
Posted on 09/09/2014
Best hold- down ever!!! I just ride my Tri-Glide into the trailer. Latch it into the Biker Bar and away I go. Bought it in Daytona 2014, mounted in trailer and just finished a punishing ride through the NY mountains. Bouncing trailer, odd angles, steep slopes. The trike never moved. I marked the tire edges so I was sure. No additional tie-downs needed. The Biker Bar was the only thing holding the bike in the trailer besides a front wheel chock.(Non-clamping type). Would recommend to all who trailer a bike. My dealer is interested in buying several for their trailers. The only modification I had to do was grind a little metal off the
frame bar due to the rear brake line. Took 2 minutes to get it just right.
Love this thing!!!!!!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!!!!!
Review by Todd Pettit From Dayton, Minnesota
Posted on 03/21/2014
This is the best idea in motorcycle transporting I've ever seen.
Just finished a winter trip to Vegas from Minnesota so we trailered to get out of the long winter. The bikes were in the trailer for 3,400 miles round trip and pulled through many road construction areas with nasty transitions and bumps. These REALLY WORK!!! I've trailered many miles before with wheel chocks and straps and held my breath between fuel stops. In 3,400 miles we WOULD have had a strap failure or loosen but with BIKER BAR load, lock and never look back till you arrive at your destination. Great idea and product.
Thank you. Todd
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Used for years and would not use anything else.

I bought this system several years ago before it was the biker bar. I have used this for many years. I have towed my bike to Fl. too many times to count, Sturgis and back, all over the country and had no problems. This is the best and most easy to trailer a bike.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I liked it so much I bought one for each of my trailers!
Review by Scott Freeman From Phoenix Az

I installed the Biker Bar in my trailer three weeks ago and towed my Road Glide Ultra over 3000 miles. Santa Fe, Denver, Sturgis, Jackson Hole, Zion and home with plenty of unloading and re-loading at each stop. The Biker Bar performed flawlessly, I could not be more impressed.
One note to the designers. when I attached the bar to the frame, I noticed that the rubber pushed on the brake line of my FLTRU, I cut off about 1\8 of an inch of the clamp at the top side and the accompanying rubber and it no longer pushed on the brake line. Again, it functioned perfectly!! Thanks for making this a simple and and stress-free way to trailer my bikes.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
The Biker Bar works magnificently!
Review by Michael Schweiger From California
Posted on 08/15/2013
We just returned from 22 days on the road in our RV towing an enclosed trailer with a Harley Road King secured by "The Biker Bar". We did a little under 3000 miles in the RV and just under 1100 miles with the Harley. We visited seven national parks / monuments (Zion, Bryce, Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Badlands, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons).
With the RV towing the trailer we hit pot holes, road construction dips, bumps, washboards and diagonal road undulations. One dip was so hard it knocked the door off the shower in the RV! The Harley was taken in and out of the trailer 8 or 9 times. The Biker Bar simply worked as advertised!

The trailer is a 6' x 10' Pace American enclosed utility trailer. The floor is 3/4 inch plywood. No modifications were made to the floor of the trailer.
I did put down two 2" x 3" strips the length of the bike in order to guide the bike in straight every time. This was handy when loading the bike in a hurry, such as during a heavy rain (twice).
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
