The other day we were asked by a magazine to rank the top five considerations when buying a receiver hitch. Would you like to know what we said? Here you go.

  1. Class - Weight rating is important. The hitch class depends on the vehicles tow rating, the weight of your trailer and the weight of what you intend to haul.
  2. Ball size – Make sure the ball size on your hitch matches the ball size on your trailer.

B&W Happenings

Just over a week ago I was headed to the vet hauling a trailer loaded with three horses.  We'd had snow two nights before but the weather had cleared up, the sun had come out and the roads were completely dry...or so I thought.  After heading around a sharp curve at about 25 mph I started to accelerate to make it up a hill.  At the top of the hill I hadn't quite made it to the 45 mph speed limit and I saw in front of me a stretch of black ice on a straight away about 3 football fields long.  The wind must have blown snow across the road causing it to...

This week marks the launch of a new product. The Biker Bar. No, despite what the name might suggest, we did not open a drinking establishment.

Twenty-four years ago B&W Trailer Hitches changed the way farmers, contractors, and horse enthusiasts pull a gooseneck trailer. And just over 10 years ago B&W created a way for RVers to use their truck bed for more than RVing. Thinking about trailer hitches, fifth wheel hitches and gooseneck hitches isn’t all we do. We make a point to think about...
